The Local Community

We are extremely fortunate at Ambleside Primary School in enjoying the support of a highly valued and active local and business community.

Church

As a Church of England Primary School, we maintain very close links with our church, St. Mary's. Not only do the clergy lead Collective Worship in school every week, the school attends church for significant services throughout the year. Our children also participate in Family Services once every two or three months.

Each month, the Headteacher writes in the Parish Magazine. Read the latest entry by the school - click HERE.

Coming soon, a tour of St. Mary's Church

Kelsick Educational Foundation

The school is indebted to the generous support it receives from a local Trust - the Kelsick Educational Foundation. 'Kelsick' supports many of the initiatives that are agreed as part of the school's development, including the funding of a 0.4 Part Time Special Needs Support Teacher. Several local schools and individuals benefit from grants given by the Trust.

Under Construction - More information soon

Our Sponsors

The local business community is highly valued by the school. Our football team enjoys the sponsorship of the Jack Wolfskin shop and we have a close relationship with the sportswear shop Hawkshead who hire our school to put on sales of their goods.

We are also delighted to receive grants from the local Rotary Club and Ambleside Police Ball Committee.
