Rosie: I live in quite a large town called Harrogate. It is quite a pretty town with lots of parks and flowers. I belong to the Youth Theatre group which is run by Harrogate Theatre. In April a new leisure centre opened which is very exciting. I hope my mum will take me there soon. I am lucky because I live near the Stray which is a huge area of grass and trees. Sometimes my sister and I go rollerbooting there or ride our bikes. There are lots of shops in Harrogate. Some are expensive and some are not. |

Ross: The best season to see Harrogate is spring because it has lots of pretty, colourful flowers and blossom trees. Giving the most colour are: daffodils, crocuses and beautiful, pink cherry trees. There are four supermarkets, a cinema, one MacDonalds and a Pizza Hut. |

Katie: In Harrogate, we have a park called the Valley Gardens. In spring it is full of daffodils and tulips and other flowers. Harrogate is a spa town where people come from all over England to drink the water. It smells of bad eggs and tastes awful. It is supposed to be very good for you. Harrogate is also a conference town. People come from all over the world to do business here. This brings a lot of money into the town. I think I am very lucky to live in a beautiful town like Harrogate. |

Gregory: If you come to Harrogate, remember to go to Betty's cafe. Lots of people like it. So do I ...well, it's O.K. Like other towns, Harrogate has museums and art galleries. Heidi: Every year the Great Yorkshire Show is held at the showground. It is one of the biggest country shows in the UK so people come from far and near. It has lots of interesting things like the farming area. This part shows sheep, pigs and cows from different parts of Europe. It also has a farmer who keeps ferrets and goes rabbiting. He tells you all about them. In another part of the showground, there are army rides like the aerial runway and a climbing wall. That's my favourite bit. |

Daniel: Harrogate has a building called the Mercer Gallery which has lots of paintings on display. It also has an Egyptian mummy in a case like a tomb. I like this town because it is quiet and there are lots of nice people. Hannah: I enjoy going riding at Sicklinghall. We go on hacks and it is really fun. In Harrogate there are swimming pools, sports centres, a cinema, a theatre and many different types of shops. There also many cafes and restaurants because lots of tourists visit Harrogate. I enjoy living in Harrogate because it is a town with excellent facilities in beautiful countryside. |

Rachel: Harrogate grew up around springs because in those days the water was used for healing people. Quite a few businessmen stay in the hotels because Harrogate has a large conference centre so they have big conferences. Harrogate has lots of music events. It also has a music centre where school children play in a variety of bands and orchestras on Saturday mornings.
