classes of a single age year group.

Class teachers are responsible for both the academic and pastoral
needs of their own class. They use a variety of teaching methods,
choosing the method most appropriate to the class and the
subject they are teaching. In all classes there will be group
work, individual work and teaching of the whole class where
appropriate.
Each class teacher holds information sessions for parents
at the beginning of the school year, when classroom routine,
teaching styles and approaches are explained and general curriculum
issues are discussed.
Admissions
All prospective parents are most welcome to visit the school
by prior arrangement. The school holds Open Days when everyone
is welcome to look around the building and see the classes
at work.
Children starting in Nursery are invited to Open Sessions
with their parents/carers at the beginning of the school year.
During the summer term there are two parents' evenings; one
for parents whose children are due to start in the Nursery
and one for parents of either children moving from Nursery
to Reception or those who will join us for the Reception year.
The school abides by the Calderdale Education Authonty~s Admissions
